ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, Nov. 8, 2013 – LyondellBasell’s industry-leading polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) technologies have been selected for four new plants planned in China.  China Petrochemical International Company Limited (Sinopec International) has once again selected the Spherizone PP and Lupotech PE process technologies for plants proposed in Zhanjiang, Dachang, and Jinshan, China. Start-up is expected in 2016.

Spherizone and Lupotech process technology offer reliable, efficient and cost-effective solutions for PP and low density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymers. Spherizone technology is used in the production of high-performance PP and novel polyolefin resins with expanded properties. Spherizone offers various novel and premium products through multi-zone circulating reactor technology with excellent operability and low operating costs.  Lupotech offers high pressure tubular and autoclave process technology for the production of high-quality LDPE and EVA with fast start-up and grade changes.
