Lyondell Names Twitchell Vice President and Treasurer
HOUSTON, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Lyondell Chemical Company (NYSE: LYO) announced the election of Karen A. Twitchell to Vice President and Treasurer, effective January 2, 2001. In her new position, Twitchell will be responsible for all treasury activities of the Lyondell enterprise, including the Equistar Chemicals, LP venture. The corporate finance, banking and insurance functions will report to Twitchell. She will report to Robert T. Blakely, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Lyondell, Twitchell had served as Vice President and Treasurer of Kaiser Aluminum Corporation since 1996. She was previously Vice President and Treasurer of Southdown, Inc., and prior to that she was an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston. Twitchell earned a B.A. degree in economics from Wellesley College and an M.B.A. degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
