ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, June 04, 2018  – LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB), one of the world's largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies, is introducing Purell EP370S, a polypropylene (PP) heterophasic copolymer that allows for the energy efficient production of healthcare articles such as pharmaceutical packaging, labware, medical caps & closures and medical containers. Compared with other PP grades, Purell EP370S maintains its excellent toughness and physical properties at lower conversion temperatures. The high flowability enables also shorter cycle times.  

Produced using a non-phthalate catalyst, Purell EP370S offers new opportunities to the healthcare industry. “Purell EP370S offers a good balance between physical and mechanical properties to meet the requirements of our customers in injection molding applications because of its good flowability and impact behavior”, said Rodney Fox, marketing manager of LyondellBasell’s European PP Healthcare and Caps and Closures business.

As all other Purell grades, Purell EP370S also benefits from LyondellBasell’s Purell Service Concept, developed for customers in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
