Kerry Galvin Promoted to Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary At Lyondell Chemical Company
HOUSTON, May 15, 2002 - The Board of Directors of Lyondell Chemical Company (NYSE: LYO) has promoted Kerry Galvin to the position of Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. In this capacity, Galvin is responsible for coordinating and providing legal services for the Lyondell enterprise, which includes Equistar Chemicals, LP, and for managing the enterprise's Legal Department. She also serves as chief legal advisor to the Lyondell Board of Directors. Since joining Lyondell in 1990, Galvin has held several positions in the company's Legal Department, in both the United States and Europe. She was previously Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, a position she had held since July 2000. Galvin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Michigan.
