Danny Huff of Georgia-Pacific Elected to Lyondell Board of Directors

HOUSTON, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lyondell Chemical Company (NYSE: LYO) announced today that Mr. Danny W. Huff has been elected to the Company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Huff, 52, is Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, for Georgia-Pacific Corporation. Headquartered at Atlanta, Georgia, Georgia-Pacific is one of the world's leading manufacturers of tissue, packaging, paper, building products, pulp and related chemicals. With 2002 annual sales of more than $23 billion, the company employs approximately 61,000 people at 400 locations in North America and Europe.

Mr. Huff has held various financial positions with G-P since 1979. Prior to joining Georgia-Pacific, Mr. Huff was with KMG Peat Marwick. He earned his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University. Mr. Huff is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute, and serves as Trustee for the Georgia State University Foundation.
