Basell announced today that it will increase prices by €200 per tonne on all polypropylene grades and €230 per tonne on all polyethylene grades sold in Europe effective October 1.

“Sharp increases in crude oil and monomer prices, which are placing margins under enormous pressure, have necessitated these price increases,” said Werner Breuers, president of Basell Polyolefins Europe.
