Basell sells share in a PP plant in Spain that it jointly owns with Repsol YPF

Basell announced today that it has sold to Repsol YPF its 50% share in the 160 KT per year polypropylene plant in Tarragona, Spain that is operated by Transformadora De Propileno A.I.E., a company that had been jointly owned by Basell and Repsol.

“Our goal is to focus on our wholly owned production facilities in Tarragona,”  said Manuel Fraga, president of Basell Iberica. ”With an annual capacity of 360 KT, we will continue to supply our customers from these plants and other regional sources.”
