Basell announced today that it will increase prices by €75 per tonne on its range of advanced polyolefins products sold in Europe effective July 1.

"Since the formation of Basell, we have made significant progress in improving our efficiency and reducing our costs," said Martyn Tickner, senior vice president of Marketing and Commercial Resources for Basell's Advanced Polyolefins Business. "However, it is evident that there is a significant structural shift in the cost of our raw materials that cannot be fully absorbed with current margins."
