Lyondell Names Charles L. Hall Vice President and Controller

HOUSTON, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Lyondell Chemical Company (NYSE: LYO) has named Charles L. Hall Vice President and Controller.

In his new position, Hall is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, budgeting, and internal control operations for the Lyondell enterprise, which includes Lyondell and its affiliate Equistar Chemicals, LP. He reports to Robert T. Blakely, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Hall comes to Lyondell from BP, formerly BP Amoco, in Chicago, where he served 16 years in a variety of financial roles, including Controller of Amoco Chemical Company and Assistant Controller of Amoco Corporation. Most recently, he was General Manager, Accounting and Reporting, for BP Amoco's North American operations. Prior to his service with BP, Hall spent 10 years with Arthur Young & Company in Kansas City.

A Certified Public Accountant, Hall attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics, a bachelor of science degree in accounting, and a master's degree in business and accounting.
