Brussels, July 11, 2003 – The Basell quality management system in Europe has received certification according to ISO 9001:2000, for the Polyolefins Business, and ISO/TS 16949:2002, for the Advanced Polyolefins Business, from Det Norske Veritas (DNV), a leading accredited registrar of quality management systems. The certifications cover manufacturing sites, processing labs, technical centres and sales offices.
DNV presented the quality certificates to Robert Genin, president of Basell’s Polyolefins Business Europe, and Sergio Danesi, president of Basell’s global Advanced Polyolefins Business, at a ceremony in the Basell regional office here. ISO – the International Organisation for Standardisation – is a network of national quality and environmental management standards institutes from more than 140 countries working in partnership with international organisations, governments, industry, businesses and consumer representatives.
