Lyondell Names Bayer Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Crockett Vice President, Responsible Care(R) and Engineering
HOUSTON, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Lyondell Chemical Company (NYSE: LYO) announced the appointment of James W. Bayer to Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Russell T. Crockett, Jr. to Vice President, Responsible Care(R) and Engineering. In his new position, Bayer will be responsible for the 18 U.S. manufacturing facilities operated by Lyondell and its Equistar Chemicals, LP venture, as well as for process engineering. He also will represent Lyondell on the Operating and Owners committees of LYONDELL-CITGO Refining LP. Crockett will be responsible for health, safety, environmental and engineering functions for Lyondell and Equistar. Bayer, a 23-year veteran of Lyondell and ARCO Chemical Company, which was acquired by Lyondell in 1998, has held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering and manufacturing. Most recently he was Vice President, Engineering and Health, Safety and Environmental (now Responsible Care(R)). He received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Crockett joined Lyondell in 1996 as a Treasury Consultant, responsible for
supporting the Company's banking, insurance and corporate finance activities.
He was named Business Manager of Aromatics in 1997 and Hydrocarbons Plant
Manager at Equistar's Channelview manufacturing facility in 1999. He began
his career in 1985 with DuPont, where he held positions of increasing
responsibility, including Global Market Manager of DuPont's sodium and
methylamines businesses. Crockett earned a B.S. degree in chemical
engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University and an M.B.A. degree from the
University of Michigan. |
