Basell to increase Polybutene-1 prices in North and South America

Basell announced today that it will increase prices by 15 cents per pound for all polybutene-1 products sold in North and South America effective November 1.

"Basell has maintained stable pricing for polybutylene-1 products since 2000, but the continuous escalation in raw material costs is such that we must pass on some of the increase to our customers.” said Stephen Dwyer, Senior Vice President for Basell’s Advanced Polyolefins Business.

Basell is the world's largest producer of polypropylene and advanced polyolefin products, a leading supplier of polyethylene and catalysts, and a global leader in the development and licensing of polypropylene and polyethylene processes. Basell, together with its joint ventures, has manufacturing facilities around the world and sells products in more than 120 countries.
