ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, May 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB) today announced that the following individuals have been elected to the company's Supervisory Board at LyondellBasell's annual general meeting of shareholders in Rotterdam, Netherlands:

• Jacques Aigrain – Chairman of LCH Clearnet Group, Limited, an independent clearinghouse group, and former Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Re, a global reinsurance company;
• Jagjeet S. Bindra – an energy industry professional with more than 35 years of experience, including serving as President of Chevron Global Manufacturing with responsibility for 19 refineries worldwide;
• Robin W. T. Buchanan – Senior Advisor at Bain & Company Inc., a global management consulting firm, and a Director of the Centre for Corporate Governance at the London Business School where he previously served as Dean and then President;
• Robert G. Gwin – Senior Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer of Anadarko Petroleum, an oil and gas exploration and production company.

Additionally, LyondellBasell said that Milton Carroll and Rudy van der Meer were reelected to the board at the meeting.  Other members of LyondellBasell's Supervisory Board, Stephen F. Cooper, Joshua J. Harris, Scott M. Kleinman, Jeffrey S. Serota, Bruce A. Smith and Marvin O. Schlanger are serving terms that were not due for re-election at this year's meeting.
